The first Virtual Advocacy Day Challenge was a success! Practicing audiologists sent a greater number of total messages but the students had a greater percentage of overall member participation. This challenge was too close to call!
Remember that you can make an impact throughout the year by advocating for audiology issues:
Send a letter through the Academy's Legislative Action Center
Ask 7 friends, colleagues and patients to do the same
Invest in your profession by contributing to the PAC
Sending an email can make a HUGE difference and takes less than 30 seconds. Here's how:
- In your internet browser address bar type: http://capwiz.com/audiology/home/ (or just click on the link)
- There you will find letters for various issues facing audiology. Click on "Ask your representative to Support Direct Access in the 112th Congress!"
- Enter your contact information in the fields at the bottom of the screen. The Legislative Action Center will locate your representative for you! You can also edit the form letter if you wish.
- Click on "Send Message" and you're done! You have made a positive impact in the advocacy efforts of audiologists!
