Therese Walden, AuD and Laura Winder, AuD joined Academy staff at the annual U.S. House of Representatives Health and Wellness Fair on Friday July 24, 2009. Attendees of this event included staff members from the U.S. House of Representatives, U.S. Capitol Police, Congressional Budget Office, and the Architect of the Capitol. The Academy's booth provided information to consumers about hearing and balance disorders and also offered hearing screenings for Fair attendees. Drs. Walden and Winder conducted hearing screenings for approximately 75 individuals. This event helped to raise awareness for noise-induced hearing loss and promoted Audiology on Capitol Hill!
