CEU Reporting

American Academy of Audiology

Membership in the American Academy of Audiology does not require CEU hours. However, all current Academy members have  access to the CEU registry, which is an excellent way to keep track of CEU hours obtained at events approved by the Academy. The registry allows you to track hours that may be required for you to maintain your state license, ABA certification, and/or certification for other professional organizations. This resource is entirely free to members of the Academy.

American Board of Audiology

The American Board of Audiology requires 60 hours of continuing education during each three-year certification cycle. ABA designates CEUs into Tier I and Tier II levels. Fifteen of the 60 required hours must be Tier I hours. Additionally, three of the 60 hours must be focused on ethics (and can be at Tier I or Tier II level). If you obtain more than 60 hours within a three-year period, the extra hours can be “carried over” into the next certification period.
