Ethics "Green Book" CEU Program

About the Program

Ethics in Audiology: Guidelines for Ethical Conduct in Clinical, Educational, and Research Settings, commonly called the "Green Book," was created by the Ethical Practice Committee (EPC) to provide the first in a series of books on ethics. The chapters and appendices are grouped into nine modules totaling 11 hours or 1.1 CEUs. Modules are worth 0.1 or 0.2 CEUs and may be taken together or individually.

Learner Assessment Tool

Each module's assessment tool is available for submission via mail, fax, or online. If you have paid the Green Book CEU Program registration fee, click on the assessment you are ready to complete (The book text associated with each assessment is listed below). Note: In order to receive CEU credit, you are required to 1) submit a Learner Assessment tool and 2) achieve a score of 80% or better.

ABA Tier 1 CEUs

Note that the Green Book CEU Program can be used to meet ABA recertification requirements. To earn ABA Tier 1 CEUs (required for ABA recertifications after January 1, 2008), a minimum of three hours needs to be submitted at the same time. In addition to having the ability to earn Tier 1 CEUs, you can also fulfill the ABA three-hour ethics requirement (required in a three-year certification period) by reading the Green Book. Click here! To access the online assessments, you must register for the Ethics "Green Book" CEU Program online using the link above. If you are already registered for the 2009 CE Registry, you will be asked to enter your e-mail address. If you are not registered for the 2009 CE Registry, the $25 fee will be added to your online registration.

Green Book CEU Fees:

$30 for the first 0.3 CEU
$25 for each additional 0.1 CEU

To receive these rates, at least 0.3 CEU need to be completed with the submission of the Registration Form. The additional 0.8 CEU may be purchased at a later date at the rate of $25 per CEU.

If fewer than 0.3 CEU are submitted with this form, the rate is $25 per CEU.

To receive credit for the Green Book CEU Program you must belong to the CE Registry. If you do not already belong to the CE Registry, you can join by using the Green Book CEU registration form (PDF).
