Students Code of Ethics

Beginning in January 2009, all student members of the American Academy of Audiology will be required to abide by the Code of Ethics in order to join. Current student members will also agree to comply with the Code of Ethics upon renewal of their membership for 2009.

This policy is important to enhancing the education and professional development of students. As students transition into their professional lives, they will increase their patient clinic time, especially during their externship year. It is important that they are familiar with the Code of Ethics and abide by those portions of the code that fit their circumstances. Familiarization with the entire code by graduation fully prepares students to assume the responsibilities of an audiologist.
