The SAA board of directors has drafted a vision statement for the SAA:
To be essential in the lives of audiology students by equipping them with the knowledge to begin a patient-centered career that promotes the profession and advances research in audiology.
- The SAA membership is invited to e-mail comments on the vision statement. The comment period will close October 22, 2010, at 5:00pm ET. The SAA board thanks you in advance for your input as we work together to advance both the mission and vision of the SAA!

Chapter Profile—SAA at CUNY Graduate Center Has Active YearThe
SAA Chapter at CUNY Graduate Center has had an active year. Last year, the chapter hosted a well-received lecture series on cochlear implants and hearing assistance technologies. On the fun side, they designed and produced sweatshirts for students and faculty, and held an end-of-year party to help everyone relax at the end of a tough semester. Looking ahead, they've formed two new committees—Philanthropy/Social Committee and Student/Alumni Relations Committee—to further engage their members. In their own words, the SAA chapter has brought their students and faculty together, academically and socially—to which the SAA replies, "Way to go!"
Talk to UsHave something to say? Want your SAA chapter to get a shout-out? Of course you do!

- Curious question of the day — Has anyone participated in the Catalina Channel Swim? (21 loooong miles, if you're wondering!).
