The Foundation is committed to doctoral students as they continue their academic career learning exceptional clinical skills and exploring contemporary avenues of research that will advance the treatment of people with hearing and balance problems. Our scholarships are funded by corporate, industry, and individual donors who support hearing and balance wellness.

Amit Gosalia Scholarship in Private Practice Audiology (NEW)

The AAA Foundation is excited to announce a scholarship opportunity for students interested in private practice audiology. Dr. Amit Gosalia has graciously donated to the Foundation to award two students a $1,500 scholarship. Students who show exceptional promise as a clinical audiologist interested in pursuing a career in private practice as evidenced by the student’s resume, rubric, and personal statement are encouraged to apply.

The American Academy of Audiology Foundation’s Continued Achievement Scholarship of $2,000 will be awarded to two students who show exceptional promise as a clinical audiologist as evidenced by the student’s resume, rubric, and personal statement. The Continued Achievement Scholarship Program is generously sponsored by AudiologyOnline.

Empowering Students Scholarship

The American Academy of Audiology Foundation’s Empowering Students Scholarship of $5,000 will be awarded to six students who show exceptional promise as a clinical audiologist as evidenced by the student’s resume, rubric, and personal statement. This scholarship program is generously funded by Oticon Hearing Foundation. $30,000 in scholarship funds are available, and Oticon is designating up to $20,000 of these funds for Black students.

Jerry Northern Scholarship in Pediatric Audiology

The Jerry Northern Scholarship in Pediatric Audiology is an opportunity for students interested in pediatric audiology. Dr. Jerry Northern has graciously donated to the Foundation to award three students with $10,000 each in scholarship funds and $500 each for travel expenses to AAA 2025+HearTECH Expo in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Judith Blumsack Scholarship

On the occasion of her retirement from Auburn University in 2014, students, colleagues, friends, and family joined together with the AAA Foundation to honor Judith Blumsack, PhD, with a named scholarship. In addition to her long career as an audiology professor, mentor, and clinician, Dr. Blumsack is a former member of the Foundation Board of Trustees, making her scholarship an especially fitting tribute to an individual that has inspired and touched many over her 30-plus-year career.

Sadanand Singh Memorial Scholarship

A respected university educator, scientist, publisher, and philanthropist, the audiology profession lost a great friend in 2010 with the passing of Dr. Sadanand Singh. Donations from Dr. Singh’s friends, family, and colleagues have enabled the establishment of a scholarship celebrating his dedication to research and the next generation of hearing scientists.

The programs are designed to help students maximize their learning experiences through leadership, educational, and humanitarian opportunities.

Student Travel Award Reimbursement (STAR) Program – Washington State

Through a generous donation from the Washington Society of Audiology (WSA), the American Academy of Audiology Foundation is offering full-time audiology graduate students (AuD, PhD, AuD/PhD) from a Washington state-based university funding to support their participation in professional meetings in the hearing sciences or other subjects related to the students’ professional coursework. The selected students will present research or gain an educational experience not available in their academic programs. The selected students will receive reimbursement to participate in any qualifying educational event, including AAA 2023+HearTECH Expo. For a virtual event, the registration fee will be reimbursed.
