The
Journal of the American Academy of Audiology (
JAAA) is the Academy's scholarly peer-reviewed publication, issued ten times per year and available to Academy members as a benefit of membership. The
JAAA publishes articles and clinical reports in all areas of audiology, including audiological assessment, amplification, aural habilitation and rehabilitation, auditory electrophysiology, vestibular assessment, and hearing science.
Call for Proposals: JAAA Supplement on Research in Audiology EducationThe Academy will be producing a supplement to
JAAA that will focus on research in audiology education. This supplement will be the first of its kind and, it is hoped, will encourage continued submissions tackling the important questions related to audiology education. Proposals are being solicited for data-based manuscripts that provide research related to various aspects of education in audiology, as well as other fields with educational challenges similar to our own. If you currently are involved in this type of inquiry, please contact
Catherine Palmer, PhD (412-647-6089), the guest editor of this upcoming issue.
JAAA: New Issues Online Now!
The Academy is pleased to announce publication ahead of print for the JAAA. This new feature will allow members and subscribers to read articles online at least one month prior to their appearance in print. Publishers of academic and scholarly journals employ electronic publication ahead of print to optimize the currency of their publications and to make findings available to clinicians and researchers earlier in the production process. Once an issue is printed, an electronic copy of the printed version will replace this preprint version.
