20th Anniversary and Founders Day
This three-dimensional art was commissioned by Widex Hearing Aid Company to commemorate the first 20 years of the American Academy of Audiology: the history, leadership, accomplishments and services. The retrospective art was unveiled April 2008 during AudiologyNOW! in Charlotte, NC and is displayed at the Academy's headquarter office in Reston, Virginia.
The artistic design features a profile reflecting the human aspect of the Academy and the lives that member audiologists improve profoundly through their profession. The story flows from the top right in a counterclockwise direction with an array of photos, publications, and memorabilia.
Actual 3-dimensional items include components of an audiometer, an otoscope and various hearing devices. A timeline borders the art and chronicles the history, honors Academy leadership, and highlights Academy achievements since 1988 that have ensured that the American Academy of Audiology is “HEAR to STAY.”
Size of the art: 47” x 37” x 5” Created by artist Lawrence M. Romorini, One Of A Kind, Inc. Art Studio, Silver Spring, MD, www.oneofakindinc.com.
