In addition to AudiologyNOW!, how do you know what's happening with the Academy? What's your favorite way to obtain Academy news? The Academy has multiple communication avenues including the Web site, which is updated on an ongoing basis, discussion forums[[[FIX]]], the monthly Audiology Today (AT) E-News[[[FIX]]], Audiology Today[[[FIX]]] bimonthly print magazine, the monthly Coding & Reimbursement E-News[[[FIX]]], the quarterly State Leaders Network[[[FIX]]] e-news, e-mails for key news items, and a social media, such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Our beta test of the long-awaited Audiology Community is complete and the site, which functions as a document-sharing resource, listserv, and discussion forum, will launch in the next few weeks. We appreciate your patience as we fine-tuned this new platform and we look forward to releasing this valuable resource as we approach AudiologyNOW! 2013 and celebrate our 25th Anniversary.
The Academy is also always pleased to offer various levels of participation through leadership at state, regional, and national meetings. This may include a keynote address, such as an Academy update; professional issues; or other requested subject matter. While the Academys policy regarding related travel and meeting expenses is flexible, state and other hosting organizations are encouraged to pay all or part of the requisite expenses for Academy representatives. At a minimum this should include meals, accommodations, and complimentary meeting registration. Requests for attendance at events will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and are subject to available funds. Click here[[[FIX]]] to learn more about the Academys guideline on this topic.
Let us hear from you. Do you have a question for the Academy? Can we help with something in your audiology life? Please feel free to contact the Academy staff[[[FIX]]] or myself if we can be of assistance. In the meantime, I hope to see you at AudiologyNOW!
