  • Define topics, assign writing groups and monitor the development of Academy documents, including clinical practice guidelines;
  • Review published guidelines as determined by Board priorities for continued relevance, recommending formation of taskforces to Board for those guidelines that are out of date;
  • Coordinate the process for peer review and publication of guidelines;
  • Maintain a list of subject matter experts for reviews, panels, and reaction papers;
  • Develop and maintain a prioritized list of new and re-writes of existing documents for annual approval by the BOD; and,
  • Review strategic documents from other organizations with content experts, as appropriate.
