SAA Central

Sponsored by Starkey

SAA Central is the place to go for information on the American Academy of Audiology's student organization and to network with your fellow students. Gather important Student Academy of Audiology (SAA) information to bring back to your chapter and see what other SAA chapters have been up to! The SAA can help you find ways to engage, empower, and lead the student voice. Members of the SAA Board of Directors and SAA Programs Subcommittee will be on hand to answer your questions. We look forward to seeing you!

  • Wednesday, 12:00-5:30 pm
  • Thursday, 8:30 am-5:30 pm
  • Friday, 8:30 am-5:30 pm

HearTECH Expo Scavenger Hunt

The scavenger hunt offers students the chance to explore the HearTECH Expo. With separate sets of questions to complete on Thursday and Friday, students can learn more about the latest products and technology being offered by different companies within the hearing health-care industry.

Search the hall and talk with exhibitors to answer the questions provided that day for your chance to win exciting prizes, meet students from other schools, and learn from the manufacturers. Submit your completed scavenger hunt cards at the end of each day to enter the drawing for a prize!

The drawing for a winner will take place on Friday, April 3, at 4:00 pm. Stop by SAA Central to participate.

HearTECH Expo Hours

  • Thursday, 10:00 am-6:00 pm
  • Friday, 9:00 am-3:00 pm

Student Volunteers

  • Be sure to check the new timeline below for important student volunteer dates and deadlines.
  • Volunteers will report directly to their assignment and check in with a designated staff contact.

You must be an SAA member to successfully complete the qualifying survey, at the time of the drawing, and throughout AAA 2020.

At the end of December, instructions on how to register will be sent to those who were chosen by random drawing for a volunteer time slot. Those who were not chosen will also receive an email notification with details on how to register as a Student Member.

Review the Student Volunteer qualifications and requirements web page for details.

Note: Entering the drawing does not guarantee a volunteer time slot. Multiple entries will not be accepted.

We look forward to welcoming you as a volunteer at AAA 2020 and the HearTECH Expo.

Time slots and assignments are based on how many volunteers are needed for each area of assistance.

All volunteers will receive assignments and details/tips via e-mail prior to AAA. Please check your spam folders prior to contacting us about your emailed assignment.

Your assignment start time is the time you are expected to be at your designated location. You will check in directly with your staff contact.
