Student Volunteer Qualifications and Requirements


Program Status: Must be a student actively enrolled in a graduate program or in a clinical study setting (externship) at the time of AAA 2020 and HearTECH Expo.

Academy Status: Must be a current member of the national Student Academy of Audiology’s (SAA) and renew membership on or before December 31, 2019.

Time: You must agree to volunteer up to three (3) hours of your time at AAA 2020 and HearTECH Expo. You will know your student volunteer time slot and assignment prior to the conference and must be available to volunteer during the time you have selected. Failure to complete your assignment will result in a $60 cancellation fee. 

Plan Travel Accordingly: You will select your volunteer time based upon available time slots the day you register. Plan travel accordingly to arrive to your volunteer assignment early. If you fail to make your assignment, you will be charged a $60 cancellation fee.

Registration: You must register for AAA 2020 to become a AAA 2020 Student Volunteer. This is in addition to being or becoming a national SAA member and completing the online random drawing submission form.

If selected to volunteer, you will receive a personalized registration code to cover the cost of student registration; if you choose to register before volunteers are selected, you will be refunded the cost of the registration after volunteer registration opens.

A confirmation will be emailed to you after volunteer registration that will contain the time you selected to volunteer.
