Nearly a quarter of Americans older than 12 years of age are estimated to have some degree of hearing loss. As most older adults will experience hearing loss\, inner-ear regeneration and cell therapies would significantly expand remediation options beyond amplification devices alone. \nResearch indicates that inner-ear protective and regenerative therapies are promising and could lead to significant changes in audiological management.
