We’ll discuss the impact of unilateral hearing loss\, FDA and insurance criteria\, and updates on coverage. Our pre-operative test battery for SSD CI candidacy will be described\, along with programming considerations. This effort seeks to improve guidance for infants\, children with developmental delays\, auditory neuropathy spectrum disorder (ANSD)\, as well as help guide our Hearing Aid and Cochlear Implant teams. Despite literature support\, CAEPs in pediatric audiology pose application challenges\, with clinicians often self-learning techniques. The presentation outlines the team’s journey to bridge research and practice\, focusing on learning curves\, logistics\, and collaboration.
