DESCRIPTION:CEUs: 1.0 \nPresenters: Jerome Evans\, AuD\, and Maryann Flores Zurrica\, AuD\, CCC-A \nDescription: \nThis presentation will explore cochlear implantation (CI) as a treatment for Single Sided Deafness (SSD)\, including current indications\, evaluation protocols\, sound processor programming\, and outcomes. We’ll discuss the impact of unilateral hearing loss\, FDA and insurance criteria\, and updates on coverage. Our pre-operative test battery for SSD CI candidacy will be described\, along with programming considerations.
