Hearing Aid Tax Credit Legislation
Senators Dean Heller (R-NV) and Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) introduced the bipartisan Hearing Aid Tax Credit Act (S. 315) in the Senate. Representatives Devin Nunes (R-CA) and Mike Thompson ((D-CA) introduced the House version of this bill (H.R. 1882). This legislation provides a tax credit of up to $500 towards the purchase of a hearing aid, or $1,000 if two are needed, available once every five years. The tax credit would be available to all individuals with no restrictions based on age or income. This legislation would be a positive first step towards improving access to hearing aid technology.
