Katheryn Rupp Bachmann, PhD
Katheryn “Kay” Bachmann, PhD, is a clinical audiologist and coordinator of research in the Pediatric Balance Center at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. Following her undergraduate studies at Miami University of Ohio, she earned a master’s degree from the University of Akron, and a PhD in hearing science, with a minor in pediatrics, from Vanderbilt University. Following completion of her PhD, Dr. Bachmann took a position as the director of audiology at the Children’s Hospital of Buffalo for four years before joining the staff at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in 2001. Dr. Bachmann has co-authored a number of articles in the area of pediatric hearing and balance and has given numerous presentations in her career. Along with her clinical duties, Dr. Bachmann is also an adjunct assistant professor at the University of Cincinnati, where she teaches the vestibular courses to AuD candidates and serves as an advisor for student capstone projects.
