Press Releases
- Newport News Times, in Newport, Oregon, published the noise-induced hearing loss press release online. Press releases submitted by Le-Ann McEachern of Coast Hearing Services.
- The Lincoln Journal in Lincolnton, Georgia, published the noise-induced hearing loss press release online. Press release posted by Athea Grey on the MCG Health, Inc., Web site, and was also submitted to The Lincoln Journal by Athea Grey as well.
- ABC News 4 in Salt Lake City, UT, reported on the dangers of hearing loss as a result of Noise, specifically iPods/MP3 players. Clinical audiologist Brent Fox from Audiology Associates in Salt Lake County was interviewed for the piece. Story also featured an announcement about October being National Protect Your Hearing Month and because of that “the perfect time to start heeding the warnings”.
- The Gresham Outlook, in Gresham, OR, posted information on National Audiology Awareness Month on October 15, 2008. The press release and information was submitted by Sheri Smith, MS, of Audiology & Hearing Aid Center of Gresham.
- NBC25, in Michigan, posted the hearing loss press release on their community page, October 2, 2008. The press release was submitted by Amber Hermann, MS, of Comprehensive Hearing Center in Grand Blanc, MI.
- Marshfield Clinic in Wisconsin and Rebecca Bredl, AuD, sent out the hearing loss press release as well as posted the release on their site.
- Audio infos, a French publication for audiologists, posted information on their Web site from the hearing loss press release. The publication is based in Paris.
- Iron Mountain Daily in Michigan reported on the hearing loss press release submitted by the Michigan Academy of Audiology on October 3, 2008. Featuring a quote from Tomas O’Connor, MA, president of the Michigan Academy of Audiology.
