Patrick N. Plyler, PhD

Patrick N. Plyler is a professor of audiology and speech pathology and director of the hearing instrument laboratory at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. He completed his BS in speech-language/auditory pathology at East Carolina University and his MA in audiology and PhD in speech and hearing science at the University of Tennessee. His research interests are in the areas of speech perception deficits in listeners with impaired hearing, the efficacy and effectiveness of advanced features in hearing instruments, and acceptance of background noise.
