Dear Academy Members,
The American Academy of Audiology Foundation promotes philanthropy in support of research, education, and public awareness in audiology and hearing sciences.
Our Year in Review 2020 is an annual report that reflects the hard work of the Foundation trustees and recognizes the generous donations received in 2020 from our member donors and sponsors. These donations help us accomplish our mission and the goals of the Foundation.
One of our critical objectives is for every member of the Academy, regardless of practice setting, to recognize and appreciate the value that each member receives from the work of the Foundation.
In addition to the Foundation’s on-going support of grants and scholarship programs, we are excited about our new initiative and focus. The importance of our Find an Audiologist fundraising campaign cannot be underestimated. During these very tough times in our history, this campaign supports funding for an initiative that could ultimately enhance patient care by expanding the informative content on the Academy website, building consumer awareness, and driving patients to your individual practices.
For this to work, your directory profile must be up to date and accurate to enhance your professional presence to consumers. And, the Foundation needs and wants your financial support to continue to enhance the directory and to connect potential patients through search engine optimization (SEO) to consumer-friendly content and your directory listing. This is a win-win for all.
Thanks to your generous donations and the support of our corporate and industry partners, the Foundation has helped countless members and students develop and contribute their skills and passions to advance the field of audiology and the hearing and balance sciences. We look forward to another grand year and invite each of you to participate in any way you can.
I know we can count on you.
Helena Solodar, AuD
Foundation Chair
