The AAA Foundation made a strong impact at AAA 2026 in San Antonio, supporting key sessions and events that advanced learning, collaboration, and community across the profession.

A highlight of the week was the AAA Foundation Fiesta, where attendees gathered for an evening of networking and celebration.

The Foundation also supported several important educational sessions, including Leveling the Playing Field: Interprofessional Strategies for Concussion Care, which emphasized collaborative approaches to managing concussion-related auditory and vestibular challenges.

The Foundation helped present the Marion Downs Lecture: Early Neural Timing Precision Impacts Later Language and Cognition (sponsored by the William Demant Foundation), exploring how early auditory processing shapes long-term language and cognitive outcomes.

The Foundation also sponsored a live recording of Science Meets the Sound Booth, featuring a timely conversation on the development of a General Audiology Board Certification. Listen to the podcast.

Future leaders in audiology took the spotlight during the Student Research Forum, presented in partnership with the AAA Foundation, showcasing emerging research and innovation from students across the field.

The Foundation also recognizes the Oticon Hearing Foundation for its generous $30,000 donation to the Empowering Students Scholarship Grant, supporting the next generation of audiology professionals.

AAA 2026 was a reminder of what can be achieved through collaboration, generosity, and a shared commitment to advancing the field.
