Congratulations to the 2023 Recipients
I am honored to have been selected to receive this award, and I am deeply grateful to the American Academy of Audiology Foundation and the Oticon Hearing Foundation for this opportunity.
My application to this scholarship discussed the importance of patient empowerment and holistic healthcare. It is so rewarding to see these values reflected and supported by professional organizations. I look forward to furthering my commitment to being an outstanding audiologist, using this scholarship to cover education costs and attend professional conferences.
I am extremely honored to be a recipient of the Empowering Students Scholarship. Receiving this award during my externship year will relieve the financial stress that comes with being a graduate student and extern. Being a recipient of his award allows me to put a lot of my focus on growing as a clinician.
Thank you to the American Academy of Audiology Foundation and Oticon Hearing Foundation for this generous award!
I am incredibly honored to be selected as a recipient of the Empowering Students Scholarship program. It is amazing that an opportunity like this exists for students like me. One of the issues that graduate students have while pursuing their education is how much financial pressure they are under.
As a third-year AuD student, receiving this financial support from the American Academy of Audiology Foundation and the Oticon Hearing Foundation will allow me to focus solely on my academics, growing my clinical skills and becoming an exceptional audiologist.
I am honored to have been selected to receive the Empowering Students Scholarship Award. I am currently in my fourth-year externship at Kaiser Permanente in Redwood City, and this financial support will allow me to focus more deeply on my clinical education and professional development, while lessening the burden of the cost of my education.
Audiology is such an important field, and I am grateful to be a part of my patient’s journey to communicate better with their friends and loved ones.
I cannot overstate how appreciative and honored I am to be receiving the Empowering Students Scholarship. As I continue my professional journey, it has become increasingly clear that there is a tangible commitment from the field to support emerging clinicians and researchers. This warmth and encouragement, along with the world-class experiences and education I have received from clinical and research faculty at the University of Minnesota and the NCRAR have validated my desires to become a clinician scientist, and to pursue a dual AuD/PhD.
I want to congratulate the other deserving recipients of this award and extend my profuse gratitude to Oticon Hearing Foundation and the American Academy of Audiology Foundation for their generosity. Recognizing and providing support to audiology students like myself with underrepresented, minoritized identities, is an achievement to be celebrated.
I am incredibly grateful to be selected as a recipient of the Empowering Students Scholarship. It is an honor for my passion and dedication to be recognized by the American Academy of Audiology Foundation and the Oticon Hearing Foundation.
This funding will allow me to dedicate more time and energy to clinical experiences, research, and volunteer opportunities in the Miami area during my final year of graduate school. I am so grateful!
The AAA Foundation will accept applications for the Empowering Students Scholarships for the 2024-2025 academic year beginning January 2024. Applications are due April 30, 2024.
