Dr. Kadyn Williams was one of the founders and owners of Audiological Consultants of Atlanta (ACA), a private audiologic practice in Atlanta, Georgia, that was sold in 2016. Founded in 1983 as the first private audiology and speech pathology practice in the state of Georgia, ACA had six locations throughout metropolitan Atlanta and employed 13 audiologists and eight audiology assistants.
Prior to ACA, Dr. Williams co-founded Occupational Noise Consultants, Inc., the first female-owned hearing conservation practice in Georgia, which was subsequently sold to a national concern. From 2005 through 2010, she served as an adjunct faculty member of Salus University, formerly known as Pennsylvania College of Optometry.
Although retired from clinical practice in 2018, Dr. Williams remains active in her profession on both a national and state level. She served as a member of the American Academy of Audiology (Academy) Coding and Reimbursement Committee from 2002 through 2009, and as its chair from 2005 through 2009. She has served as a member of the Academy’s Practice Policy Advisory Committee (PPAC) since 2008 and has served as its chair since 2012.
In 2008, the Governor of Georgia appointed her to serve on the Georgia State Board of Hearing Aid Dealers and Dispensers, a position in which she continues to hold.
