Day one of AAA 2024 is officially in the books! We had a packed afternoon with several networking events and sessions. The New Professionals Networking “Meet-Up” (sponsored by Kaiser Permanente) offered attendees with five years or less of experience a chance to connect and build relationships. We had a blast at the Student Academy of Audiology (SAA) Mix and Mingle, where our students had a chance to network with snacks and beverages (sponsored by Starkey).
We kicked off the first evening of AAA 2024 with the Expo Hall Opening. A live DJ brought the energy with some great music as attendees mingled and reconnected. We rolled over into the Celebrate Audiology Reception (sponsored by Hamilton CapTel), where guests connected with industry representatives in their booths. While in the HearTECH Expo, attendees had the chance to attend open houses hosted by colleges, universities, and learning institutions. Alumni, faculty, and students connected at this fun reception-style event.
We closed out the night with the AAA Foundation Happy Hour (sponsored by The American Institute of Balance). Friends and colleagues enjoyed food and drinks while supporting the Foundation’s mission of promoting research, education, and public awareness in audiology and hearing sciences.
Looking Ahead
Today promises to be another exciting day at AAA 2024. Get ready for a can’t-miss keynote address from best-selling author Dr. Abraham Verghese. Stop by the Expo Hall to purchase a pre-signed copy of Dr. Verghese’s newest novel, The Covenant of Water, following the presentation. Swing by the Best Practices Pavilion (equipment provided by Grason-Stadler) in the afternoon. Close out the day at the Wine and Cheese Reception in the HearTECH Expo, followed by AAA’s Not-So-Secret After Party!
