Dr. Dana McCray has worked in hearing healthcare for more than three decades. Her education includes a B.A in Communicative Disorders from San Diego State University, M.S. in Audiology from Portland State University and the Au.D. from Arizona School of Health Sciences. Her clinical fellowship year was spent under the direction of Dr. John Epley with focus on balance disorders. Dr. McCray has practiced in a variety of settings including 15 years in private neurotology practices in Oregon, Senior Field Support for the Cochlear Corporation, general ENT practices at hospitals in California, Georgia and the Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea Minnesota.  Most recently, she joined Amy Swain Hearing Centers providing services at two southeastern Minnesota locations in 2025. Dr. McCray spent a decade teaching American Sign Language at Portland State University and George Fox University and she has guest lectured for a variety of community seminars about the importance of hearing healthcare for all ages. A former professional musician herself, Dr. McCray has a special interest in the hearing needs of musicians and the protection and rehabilitation of this important sense.
