Alexis Leiderman is the 2021-2022 president-elect of the Student Academy of Audiology (SAA). This past year, Alexis served as Communications Committee chair for the 2020-2021 Board of Directors and serves on the Board of Directors for her local SAA chapter.
Her interests in audiology include cochlear implants, pediatrics, and research. Alexis is honored to resume her journey serving for the national SAA and hopes to continue to promote advocacy for students pursuing audiology.
She is excited to work with the 2021-2022 Board of Directors to facilitate a more inclusive environment for the SAA and to promote public awareness about audiology.
Alexis is a third-year AuD student at the CUNY Graduate Center in New York, New York, where she is placed at Mount Sinai Hospital for her off-site clinical rotation. Her research interests include cochlear implants and music enjoyment, and she is a research associate for the Cochlear Implant Music Group at Columbia Music Irving Medical Center. Outside of audiology, Alexis enjoys fitness, spending time with friends, and performing music around New York City.
