The GABC program is a two-part process in which you must complete an application to demonstrate your eligibility and achieve a passing score on an exam required to attain the credential.
Applicants must apply for the GABC exam online at AAA Member Login. If they do not already have an Academy profile in the system, they will be prompted to create one. Applicants with a disability who require assistance in completing the application should contact ABA at aba@audiology.org.
The ABA processes applications in the order in which they are received. If all required documentation is received in a timely manner, the application review process currently takes less than one week. You will receive an e-mail acknowledgment of your application submittal with instructions for how to submit any additional required information.
The GABC beta examination will be administered online with live-remote proctoring within an 11-day testing window from November 6-16, 2026. After registering for the beta examination, each candidate will schedule their own testing time through the remote proctoring platform.
