Brianna Kuzbyt, AuD, is an Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology, board certified clinical audiologist, and clinician researcher in the Division of Audiology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She specializes in tinnitus and sound sensitivities, auditory and vestibular diagnostic testing, auditory evoked potentials, and bone anchored hearing implants for English and Spanish speaking adults. She holds sub-specialty certificates for tinnitus management and clinical precepting. She is actively involved in research efforts and participates in clinical trials within the department, and she manages multiple studies within the division of audiology. In the field of tinnitus, Dr. Kuzbyt’s work has focused on the development, implementation, and modification of an evidence-based tinnitus education protocol for providers of tinnitus services.
Dr. Kuzbyt is involved in professional committee work through the American Academy of Audiology, including the Professional Development Council and the Research, Clinical, and Teaching Posters Subcommittee. She also served on the ABA’s Peer Review Committee for the Certificate Holder: Tinnitus Management program and Nova Southeastern University’s Peer Review Committee for Audiology Case-Base Educational Scenarios for the assessment of clinical competency. She also works closely with doctoral students and visiting health care providers in the clinical education and training program as a clinical preceptor.
