Dr. Dana McCray has worked in hearing healthcare for more than three decades. Her education includes a B.A in Communicative Disorders from San Diego State University, M.S. in Audiology from Portland State University and the Au.D. from Arizona School of Health Sciences. Her clinical fellowship year was spent under the direction of Dr. John Epley with focus on balance disorders. Dr. McCray went on to practice in a variety of settings including 15 years in private neurotology practices in Oregon, Senior Field Support for the Cochlear Corporation, a variety of ENT practices in California and Georgia and ultimately arriving at the Mayo Clinic Health System in December 2021. Dr. McCray spent a decade teaching American Sign Language at Portland State University and George Fox University and she has guest lectured for a variety of community seminars about the importance of hearing healthcare for all ages. A former professional musician herself, Dr. McCray has a special interest in the hearing needs of musicians and the protection and rehabilitation of this important sense.
