Audiologists change lives every day, and this year at AAA 2025, we’re offering new ways to give back, connect, and raise awareness—both within our profession and in the broader community. Throughout the conference, you’ll have the chance to support important causes, advocate for hearing health, and make a lasting difference while enjoying all that New Orleans has to offer.
Help Fight Depression with Letters Against Isolation
For the second year, the Academy is partnering with Letters Against Isolation to make connections with isolated seniors. Studies show an association with hearing loss and depression in older adults. This creates social isolation and loneliness, and we can help fight this one letter at a time! Through handwritten messages of love, hope, and joy, we can help bring seniors connections and improve their mental and physical health. Stop by our location near registration any time during the conference to write a quick note.
Support the AAA Foundation
Reunite with friends and colleagues at the AAA Foundation Happy Hour ($). Enjoy food and drinks while supporting the Foundation’s mission of promoting research, education, and public awareness in audiology and hearing sciences. Tickets are $95 and can be added to your registration fee. If you have already registered, you can still return to your registration and add a ticket to your purchase.
Celebrate Hearing Diversity Through Art
Priscila Soares is an artist with severe to profound hearing loss who creates art that celebrates and elevates hearing differences. Her vibrant illustrations, sculptures, and merchandise highlight people with hearing aids, cochlear implants, bone-anchored hearing systems, and those who use sign language, bringing visibility to the unique experiences within the hearing loss and deaf communities. Visit Priscila in our registration area Wednesday through Friday to experience her artwork and hear her inspiring journey.
