Pediatric Audiology Specialty Certification (PASC) Update

  • ABA News

Now is the time to begin planning to take the Pediatric Audiology Specialty Certification (PASC) exam in spring 2026. Consider becoming Board Certified in Pediatric Audiology to set yourself apart in your profession and workplace. Applications for the spring 2026 exam must be completed and submitted by March 10, 2026, to qualify to register for the 2026 exam to be administered online with live remote proctors from May 4–18, 2026. Here are links to PASC Application Information and Exam Information. The exam pass rate for first-time test takers in 2025 was 86.9 percent.

Ali Hyland, AuD, a pediatric audiologist at Comer Children’s Hospital–The University of Chicago Medicine, says: “Earning board certification in pediatric audiology represents a significant milestone in my professional journey, affirming my advanced knowledge, clinical expertise, and commitment to excellence in the diagnosing and treatment of hearing loss in children This distinction not only strengthens my foundation in evidence-based pediatric assessment and intervention, but also enhances my ability to collaborate effectively with families, educators, and healthcare teams.”

Although ABA receives and reviews PASC applications year-round, we are seeing an increase in applications as more pediatric audiologists consider benchmarking their skills by sitting for the exam. If you have a colleague who you think might be a good candidate for the PASC certification, please pass this on to them. Applications for the spring 2026 exams must be completed and submitted by March 10, 2026 to qualify to register for the 2026 exam. PASC exam registrations for 2026 will be open from January 6 through April 7, 2026.
