I hope this message finds you recharged and refreshed following the recent Academy Annual Conference in Seattle! I am delighted to congratulate all of the attendees of the Seattle event. Like many others, I personally enjoyed the grand round sessions, which also provided Tier 1 CEUs that are required for audiologists who are keeping up their ABA Certified, Pediatric Audiology Specialty Certification (PASC) and Cochlear Implant Specialty Certification (CISC) credentials.
The conference was an incredible opportunity for audiologists to come together, share knowledge, and learn from each other; it was a fantastic display of the passion and dedication that we all share for the field of audiology.
I also want to remind everyone that, officially, May Is Better Hearing Month. This is a time for us to focus on the importance of hearing health and the impact it can have on our overall well-being. As audiologists, we know firsthand the incredible benefits that come from better hearing, and we have the privilege of helping people achieve that goal.
This May, I encourage you to take some time to raise awareness about the importance of hearing health. Whether it’s through social media, community events, or simply talking to your friends and family, every effort counts.
Please take advantage of the resources provided by the Academy to help promote May Is Better Hearing Month.
Thank you all for your commitment to providing the highest level of care in audiology, and I look forward to continuing to work together to make a difference in the lives of those we serve.
Best regards,
Rebecca Lewis, AuD, PhD, ABAC
Chair, American Board of Audiology
