Message from the
Chair of the American
Board of Audiology: May 2021

  • ABA News

During National Volunteer Week in April, it was inspiring to see stories on social media of people willingly giving their time to so many deserving organizations. There are a number of reasons why we choose to volunteer—to build our community and connect with other audiologists from across the country, have a voice in shaping the future, contribute to a cause you care about or even learn new skills.

Over the past two and a half years, I have been impressed by the thoughtful conversations I have had as a member of the American Board of Audiology (ABA). From the big picture, aspirational vision and goals to the day-to-day details of keeping the ABA running smoothly, these conversations among engaged members of our community are all essential to the success of the ABA.

I encourage you to bring your background and expertise to the table by applying to be a member of the ABA Board. Board members serve three-year terms that start on October 1, 2021.

If you are an Academy member and would like to serve on the ABA Board, please click here to apply.

In the meantime, I wish you all a safe and relaxing summer!
