In the August issue of our quarterly newsletter, we told you that all current Certificate Holder-Audiology Preceptor (CH-AP) certificate holders will need to complete a new Module 5 as a requirement to extend your certificate another five years. In anticipation of the addition of Module 5 to the full CH-AP package, registration for the existing four-module package was suspended as well. We regret that the update is still in final preparation and will not release before early 2022.
In recognition that some CH-AP certificates were set to expire in the coming weeks, all certificates set to expire during the months of December through April have had their expiration dates automatically extended until May 1, 2022. This new deadline provides ample time to complete Module 5 once it is available. Certificate holders will receive their first extension notice in early March, 60 days prior to your expiration date.
The ABA will announce when the new module is available and the full five-module CH-AP package is available for registration.
