For ABA certificants, here are CEU requirements at a glance:

| American Board of Audiology Certified (ABAC) – every year | 20 | 5 | 1 |
| Cochlear Implant Specialty Certification (CISC) – every three years | 60 (30 in cochlear implants) | 15 | 3 |
| Pediatric Audiology Specialty Certification (PASC) – every three years | 60 (30 in pediatrics) | 15 | 3 |
While the annual conference is an outstanding resource for continuing education, please remember that additional approved providers are:
- American Academy of Audiology (eAudiology)
- AudiologyOnline.org
- American Medical Association
- International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET)
- American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
- State audiology organizations also may be approved CE providers
Any programs that have been approved by the Academy will be reported back to the Academy if you provide your Academy web ID number when registering. This applies to non-members, as well, and it will be to your benefit in the event your required continuing education is audited.
Additional options for Tier 1 credit include:
- Authorship of a publication (up to 0.3 Tier 1 credits)
- College or university courses
- Teaching activities
- Leadership activities
