This lounge will feature a discussion of current evidence-based practice methods employed by audiologists. 

The focus of the standards of today will include test items and procedures of the standard audiometric test battery, tinnitus assessment, universal balance screenings as part of routine hearing healthcare, immittance measures, and electrophysiology.

Our trends of tomorrow discussion will highlight potential changes to the basic audiometric test battery, implementation of telehealth for audiometric assessment, and developing a test battery for individuals with hidden hearing loss.

Pediatrics: "Little Bodies, Big Questions"

This lounge will feature a discussion of current topics with our smallest population of patients that many times leave the biggest questions.  The focus of this lounge will include the newest early hearing detection and identification (EHDI) guidelines, current best practice standards for diagnostics and amplification, and how to navigate these guidelines and standards with pediatric patients of all developmental statuses.

There will also be time devoted to discussion of hot topics such as vestibular, tinnitus, and third-party payers in pediatric settings.  Attendees can except discussions, practical tips, and opportunities to engage and collaborate with colleagues.
