The Medicare Audiology Access Improvement Act (H.R. 2757) was reintroduced in the U.S. House—and we need your help to gain critical momentum.
This bipartisan bill would modernize outdated Medicare rules by:
- Allowing direct access to audiologists without a physician referral
- Recognizing audiologists as Medicare “practitioners,” enabling telehealth and other independent services
- Covering both diagnostic and treatment services provided by audiologists.
These changes would improve access, reduce delays, and ensure older Americans receive essential services. Now is the time to act. While the Academy works to advance this legislation in the Senate, we’re calling on members to help build strong support in the House.
Here’s how you can help in 4 easy steps:
- Download the letter template
- Personalize it with your story or professional experience.
- Find your U.S. Representative by entering your home or work address.
- Email the letter directly to your Representative’s office.
Even one message from a constituent can influence a lawmaker’s decision to cosponsor a bill. Let’s make sure Congress hears from audiologists across the country. Help us move H.R. 2757 forward—your voice matters.
