Organizational Structure
The American Academy of Audiology's organizational structure integrates the partners across the Academy and aligns the work of the organization. The structure includes councils, which brings an additional layer in the governance of the organization: Leadership, Academic and Professional Standards, Professional Development, Scientific Advisory, Advocacy, and Member Engagement. The many committees and task forces that do much of the work of the organization report to the councils or, in some instances, directly to the Academy Board of Directors.

Current Strategic Objectives
Reflecting on our mission, the Academy delivers value in three strategic areas: ensuring the ability to practice, ensuring the future of the profession, and ensuring the future of the Academy. Our current priorities focus on seven key objectives that will help us drive the profession and Academy forward.
Our aspirational objectives describe what we plan to accomplish over the long term. Our committees and councils develop quarterly key results that are specific, measurable, time-bound goals that describe how we will achieve our objectives. We are committed to transparently collaborating at every level of the organization to achieve our goals. The Board of Directors sets the strategy, the councils translate the strategy to actionable and accountable implementation, and the committees execute the work that allows us to successfully deliver on our value proposition.
