Charge Description

  • Cultivate a welcoming environment that values diversity of people and perspectives in approaching the activities of the committee
  • Promote inclusive practices and multicultural competencies in initiatives, programs and other activities
  • Cultivate diversity, equity, and inclusion awareness skills through training and educational opportunities and resources
  • Designate a DEI advocate
  • Organize and coordinate annual conference programming
  • Enhance the educational value of the meeting through innovative teaching methods
  • Set the standard for learning opportunities by inviting and attracting high quality submissions/speakers
  • Design a program of submitted sessions to be of interest to a wide cross section of audiology specialties
  • Promote the annual conference to grow attendance and the impact of the meeting; and,
  • Include staff liaison and council chair in communications.
