Bio
Alyssa Swann, BS, CNA, CMT, is a doctor of audiology student at Towson University with a background in speech-language pathology, biology, and psychology. She has extensive clinical and research experience, including work with the Developmental Disability Administration and the Towson Hearing and Balance Center. Alyssa is continuing her training with the National Institutes of Health Audiology Unit and has contributed to research on hidden hearing loss, auditory processing in autism, and mental health disparities in healthcare. She holds leadership positions in various students and advocacy organizations. Diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at age 8, Alyssa is dedicated to raising awareness of the connection between diabetes and hearing health, a perspective she aims to integrate into her future practice.
