Sara Jagger, AuD, PhD, serves as vice president of Clinical Science and Quality at The American Institute of Balance (AIB), where she oversees clinical standards across a national network of practices. She develops evidence-based diagnostic protocols and implements quality assurance systems designed to improve consistency, accuracy, and patient outcomes in vestibular care. She is a research collaborator with Mayo Clinic Florida and serves as an adjunct professor for multiple universities, mentoring future audiologists.
Dr. Jagger previously served as a clinical audiologist at Mayo Clinic, specializing in vestibular diagnostics, tinnitus management, and otologic disorders. Her clinical work emphasized interdisciplinary collaboration and data-driven decision-making to improve diagnostic clarity and rehabilitation outcomes. She also served as the audiology subject matter expert with General Dynamics on traumatic brain injury initiatives supporting service members and veterans. Earlier in her career, she was chief medical officer for AIB Clinics and a faculty member for AIB education workshops, helping expand national clinical education programs.
Dr. Jagger earned her Bachelor of Science from The Pennsylvania State University, her Doctor of Audiology from A.T. Still University’s Arizona School of Health Sciences, and her PhD in Health Sciences from Nova Southeastern University. She is currently completing her MBA at Johns Hopkins Carey Business School, where her work focuses on healthcare innovation, strategic leadership, and the responsible integration of artificial intelligence in clinical systems.
A 2022 graduate of the Jerger Future Leaders of Audiology (JFLAC) program, Dr. Jagger is committed to advancing audiology through strong advocacy, sustainable practice models, and thoughtful adoption of emerging technologies. She believes the future of the profession depends on unified leadership, evidence-based practice, and ensuring audiologists are prepared to guide how innovation is integrated into hearing and balance care.
