Fans of the Marvel superheroes might be interested in reading a recently published British Medical Journal article by Fox et al (2021) titled “Anticipating the Ageing Trajectories of Superheroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.”
From viewing 24 movies, the authors considered Marvel superhero behaviors, experiences, and other factors such as exercise, exposure to loud noise, and intelligence on the potential health outcomes on superheroes as they age. Case examples are provided for five superheroes: Black Panther, Black Widow, Hulk, Iron Man, and Spiderman.
