The Medicare Payment Advisory Commission (MedPAC) is an independent federal body that was established to advise the U.S. Congress on issues affecting the Medicare program and its agenda is shaped by a combination of statutory requirements, congressional interest, and the interests of the Commission.
In the coming months, the Commission will analyze the adequacy of Medicare’s fee-for-service payments for facilities and clinicians. The Commission will continue discussion on Medicare Advantage (MA) including encounter data, standardizing enrollee cost and certain supplemental benefits.
