Dr. Greta Stamper is a clinical and research audiologist in the Division of Audiology in the Department of Otolaryngology at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. She currently serves as the chair of the Audiology Division at Mayo Clinic in Florida. Dr. Stamper is also the program director for the audiology externship at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville and an assistant professor of audiology within the Mayo Clinic of College of Medicine and Science.

Originally from the state of Iowa, Dr. Stamper obtained her bachelors, masters, and clinical audiology doctorate (AuD) degrees from the University of Iowa. She obtained her PhD in audiology from the University of Kansas.

Her professional and research interests include counseling patients, adult aural rehabilitation, hearing aid services and delivery models, bone-anchored implantation services, hearing loss prevention and early detection, and mentoring audiology students. She is a Certificate Holder – Audiology Preceptor from the American Board of Audiology and serves as a reviewer for various journals. She currently serves on the Academy’s Scientific Advisory and External Relations Council with a focus on outreach. She has also worked with the Aural Rehabilitation Clinical Practice Guideline Development Panel through ASHA and served with the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine on Evaluating Hearing Loss for Individuals with Cochlear Implants as a committee member.

She values an interdisciplinary team approach to clinical care to empower the patient to maximize their individual clinical outcomes and communication goals.

When not active professionally, Dr. Stamper enjoys being with her family and spending time outdoors.
