Samuel Peterson, AuD

Samuel Peterson, AuD, is an audiologist with fourteen years of clinical experience and eleven years in leadership. He earned his clinical Doctorate in Audiology from Idaho State University and has spent his career focused on adult care, with a particular emphasis on hearing aid fittings and helping patients navigate the challenges of hearing loss.

Although he has been in leadership for more than a decade, Dr. Peterson is the first to acknowledge that leading people has stretched him in ways clinical work never did. He views leadership as an ongoing learning process—one that requires patience, self‑reflection, and a willingness to grow. His desire to continue developing these skills is a key reason he is grateful for the opportunity to attend the JFLAC conference, where he hopes to gain new insights and practical tools to better support his team and strengthen the services his clinic provides.

Outside of audiology, Dr. Peterson is a husband and father of four, roles he considers among the most grounding and meaningful parts of his life. He enjoys spending time with his family and finds that they continually remind him of the importance of balance and perspective. He is also an endurance enthusiast who enjoys running and competing in triathlons, pursuits that reflect his appreciation for discipline, steady progress, and personal challenge.

Dr. Peterson approaches his work with humility, curiosity, and a genuine desire to keep improving—for his patients, his team, and the profession.
