Sara Jagger, AuD, PhD, MBA, serves as Vice President of Clinical Science and Quality at The American Institute of Balance (AIB), where she oversees clinical standards across a national network of practices. She develops evidence-based diagnostic protocols and leads quality assurance initiatives designed to improve consistency, accuracy, and patient outcomes in vestibular care. She is also a research collaborator with Mayo Clinic Florida and an adjunct professor at multiple universities, where she helps educate and mentor future audiologists.
Dr. Jagger previously served as a clinical audiologist at Mayo Clinic, specializing in vestibular diagnostics, tinnitus management, and otologic disorders. Her clinical work emphasized interdisciplinary collaboration and data-driven decision-making to improve diagnostic clarity and rehabilitation outcomes. She also served as an audiology subject matter expert supporting traumatic brain injury initiatives for service members and veterans. Earlier in her career, she was chief medical officer for AIB Clinics and a faculty member for AIB educational workshops, contributing to the expansion of national vestibular education programs.
Dr. Jagger earned her Bachelor of Science from Penn State University, her Doctor of Audiology from A.T. Still University’s Arizona School of Health Sciences, and her PhD in Health Sciences from Nova Southeastern University. She also earned her MBA from the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School, with a focus on healthcare innovation, strategic leadership, and the responsible integration of artificial intelligence into clinical systems.
A 2022 graduate of the Jerger Future Leaders of Audiology Conference, Dr. Jagger serves on the American Academy of Audiology Board of Directors (2026-2029). She is committed to advancing audiology through strong advocacy, sustainable practice models, and the thoughtful adoption of emerging technologies. She believes the future of the profession depends on unified leadership, evidence-based practice, and ensuring that audiologists help guide how innovation is integrated into hearing and balance care.
