Sarah N. McAlexander, AuD, BC-PA, ABAC, CH-AP

Sarah N. McAlexander, AuD, BC-PA, ABAC, CH-AP, is a board-certified pediatric audiologist with Texas Hearing Institute, a non-profit clinic providing audiology services to children with hearing loss in the greater Houston area. She obtained her Doctorate of Audiology from the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in 2021, specializing in Early Identification and Management of Children with Hearing Loss. She additionally completed coursework in interdisciplinary care for children with multiple disabilities as a Leadership in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) fellow. In 2022, she received training in advanced cochlear implant programming through the Institute for Cochlear Implant Training. Dr. McAlexander currently manages Texas Hearing Institute’s ABR program, osseointegrated device program, and clinical research program. She actively contributes to the audiology community on both the state and national level. Dr. McAlexander currently serves as Chair of the Student Academy of Audiology Advisory Committee. She also volunteers on committees involved in organizing the annual AAA conventions and serves on the Board of Trustees for the AAA Foundation. She is a co-host of the AAA Foundation-sponsored podcast, Science Meets the Soundbooth. Additionally, Dr. McAlexander is Secretary/Treasurer on the Texas Academy of Audiology (TAA) Board of Directors. Her interests include legislative issues and advocacy in audiology, early hearing detection and intervention, and research.
