AAA 2021 Virtual
April 14-16
Angela Shoup, PhD
Academy President-Elect
We are excited to announce that the Academy is pivoting AAA 2021 + HearTECH Expo to a fully virtual conference.
In light of the continued challenges and concerns regarding COVID-19 and in an abundance of caution for your health, safety, and overall comfort, moving to a virtual event is the most responsible path forward to maintain optimal conditions for our attendees, presenters, exhibitors, sponsors, corporate partners, and the communities and patients you serve.
We have a plan to reshape our typical conference format into a virtual conference that is inclusive and reflects the core value of the Academy, advancing the profession of audiology. The AAA 2021 program committee of dedicated volunteers is already working diligently to ensure that the offerings provided will create value for our attendees through a strong digital format.
The transition to a fully digital event comes after countless conversations and considerations with the city of Denver, Denver convention center and hotels, discussions with members and committee volunteers, and our evaluation of the potential impact on you—your travel implications, your safety and health, and your overall conference experience.
While we will miss seeing you all in person, we are excited to transform our educational and interactive events into an online platform that will showcase high-end presentations, networking, exhibit hall connections, fun gaming opportunities, and more—all in a convenient virtual environment that you will be able to access from any location.

Abstracts
If you have already submitted an abstract for the in-person event, we will be contacting you directly to discuss your options for presentation at the virtual conference.
We have closed the current call for abstracts but will re-open the platform in the coming weeks to accept submissions for the virtual event. Stay tuned!
Virtual Event
This virtual conference experience will feature comprehensive educational sessions and activities plus plenty of time dedicated to learning and exploring in the exhibit hall.
This virtual conference will give you the full experience of connection, information, and education—all from your home or office.
Join in innovative educational sessions; participate in interactive demos and Q&A gatherings with presenters; engage in community discussions; and explore technology, products, and services in a robust virtual exhibit hall.
Call for abstracts will open in the coming weeks with opportunities to present virtually.
Check www.AAAConference.org regularly for updates.
Can’t wait to see you virtually in April!
