The Academy’s State Policy Advocate Network (SPAN) will hold its next quarterly meeting on Wednesday, July 22, from 8:00–9:00 pm ET. SPAN provides Academy members with an opportunity to stay informed about state advocacy efforts, discuss legislative and regulatory developments, and connect with colleagues engaged in audiology advocacy nationwide.
This quarter’s meeting will feature a presentation by Joanne Zurcher, MP, Vice President of Government Relations and Policy, on recent developments in student loan regulations and legislative solutions affecting audiologists. Attendees will also learn about Academy resources available to support members navigating these issues and have an opportunity to ask questions.
The second half of the meeting will focus on state updates, with attendees invited to share experiences from their recent legislative sessions, discuss emerging trends, and exchange advocacy strategies with colleagues from other states.
All Academy members interested in state advocacy are encouraged to participate. Whether you are actively involved in legislative efforts or simply want to stay informed about policy developments affecting the profession, SPAN offers a valuable forum for discussion and engagement. If you would like to receive an invitation to the meeting, please email mmoore@audiology.org for more information.
